indi chocolate Molé Apple Butter

Combining Washington's local and delicious apples with indi chocolate Molé Spice Rub in this delicious and easy to follow recipe.


  • 3 cups unsweetened apple juice
  • 4 Tbs indi chocolate Molé Spice Rub
  • 1 1/2 cinnamon sticks
  • 3 1/2 pounds (7 to 8 medium) Braeburn apples or other tart-sweet apples, unpeeled, quartered, cored, cut into 1-inch chunks (about 12 cups)
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
  • pinch of salt


  1. Bring apple juice, salt and cinnamon to a boil
  2. Add apples and indi chocolate Molé Spice Rub and turn heat to medium, let cook for about 40 min or until liquid has evaporated
  3. Transfer apple butter to blender, discard cinnamon and blend
  4. Melt butter on a skillet until lightly browned and add to the apple butter mixture
