Mussels with Coconut Cacao Masala Broth

  • Half onion, chopped
  • 1 lb mussels 
  • Garlic, chopped 
  • 1 can coconut milk
  • Salt and pepper
  • half stick butter
  • 1 cup white wine 
  • half lemon 
  • 3 tbs indi chocolate cacao masala 
  • 2 srprigs of thyme 


  1. Melt butter and onion in the skillet over the grill 
  2. Add garlic and sauté for another minute  
  3. Add white wine, coconut milk and indi chocolate cacao masala rub until the liquid starts to boil
  4. Add mussels until they open up 
  5. Squeeze lemon, salt and pepper and add sprigs of thyme
  6. Serve with warm bread
